Psychoanalytic Services of New York City (PS NYC) is committed to understanding the unique needs and aspirations of the individuals we work with. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy, as well as support groups (both in-person and virtually). In addition, we offer expert supervision for training and practicing therapists and psychoanalysts.
We are affiliated with Network for the Advancement of Perinatal Support (NAPS), an innovative collaborative care program that serves the unique needs of women and men along the reproductive spectrum by working directly with OBGYNs and other reproductive medical practices.
Our founder, Golzar Selbe Naghshineh, launched NAPS in 2014 at the renowned Downtown Women OBGYN practice. We understand the importance of preventing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders to create well-adjusted children with strong family bonds.
We also partner with SAD DADS CLUB to provide therapy to bereaved fathers navigating life after loss.
Through weekly Zoom sessions and a private Discord channel, dads all around the world navigating child loss are reminded they’re not alone. SDC hosts regional events throughout the year as well as retreats at least twice annually. They partner with therapists who specialize in grief and pay for up to six sessions per dad.
Grief and healing are lifelong. Relief should not come at a cost.
