About NAPS

Network for the Advancement of Perinatal Support (NAPS), is an innovative collaborative care program that serves the unique needs of women and men along the reproductive spectrum by working directly with OBGYNs and other reproductive medical practices.

Our founder, Golzar Selbe Naghshineh, launched NAPS in 2014 at the renowned Downtown Women OBGYN practice. Combining her experience as both a psychoanalyst and former doula, NAPS addresses preventing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, because we understand the importance of prevention in creating well-adjusted children with strong family bonds.

Through our NAPS program, we provide various therapy services to people across the reproductive spectrum: pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, those trying to conceive naturally or through assisted reproductive technologies (IVF, IUI, and third-party reproduction), pregnancy loss, stillbirth, parenting, and menopause.

Naghshineh is an author and speaker on issues around pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss and stillbirth, IVF, and life after failed fertility treatments, and continues to evolve the NAPS program in light of the latest research and theories.
